Noria terms of use
What Noria does, what it doesn't do, what is free and what is paid.
Last updated: 15 August 2026.
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the Noria iPhone app. Installing or using Noria means accepting them. If you don't accept them, simply don't use the app.
2. What the service does
Noria is a household subscription tracker. It records what you enter, adds your subscriptions up into a monthly and yearly total, puts every payment on a calendar, spots increases in what you pay, and tells you about your cancellation rights.
What Noria is not:
- it is not a payment service: the app makes no transfers, holds no funds and connects to no bank account;
- it is not an account aggregator: it never asks for your banking credentials and has no access to your bank;
- it is not a cancellation agent: Noria writes a letter, you send it;
- it is not legal, financial or tax advice.
Totals, lifetime figures and simulations are calculated from what you enter. They are provided for information only.
3. No account
Noria works without an account: no sign-up, no password, no email address. Your data lives on your iPhone. If iCloud sync is switched on for your device, it is copied into your own iCloud space, which I cannot access.
So there is nothing to delete on my side: uninstalling the app, or using "Delete all your data" in Noria's settings, is enough.
4. What is free, what is paid
- The number of subscriptions is not limited in the free version, and will not be.
- Free: the monthly and yearly total, the payment calendar, bank statement import, quick add, the total paid since the start, duplicates, available cancellations, the cancellation letter, the simulator, CSV export, the widget and the biometric lock.
- The first household profile is free: someone living alone can use Noria in full.
- Noria Premium unlocks the three families of alerts (upcoming payments, price increases, cancellation windows), unlimited profiles and the cost per person. It is offered monthly or yearly.
The prices shown in the app at the time of purchase prevail and may vary by country and applicable tax. Payment is charged to your Apple account on confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least twenty-four hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your Apple account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, which is not refunded pro rata. Purchases are collected by Apple: refund requests go to Apple, the only contact for billing.
5. Cancellation information
Noria presents information about French cancellation law (loi Hamon, loi Chatel, the right to cancel after one year, three-click cancellation) and prepares a template letter.
This information is provided for guidance and does not replace your own contract terms, which always prevail. Some contracts set their own notice periods or formalities. Check them before sending.
Noria never acts on your behalf: the letter is produced on your iPhone, and you decide whether to send it, to whom, and when.
6. Your commitments
- use the app in accordance with the law;
- only enter information you are entitled to process, in particular the first names of other members of your household;
- do not attempt to bypass the limits of the free version or disrupt the service;
- check your contract terms before cancelling anything.
7. Availability and changes
Noria is provided "as is". I do what is needed to keep it working, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability, the complete absence of errors, or compatibility with every future version of iOS. Features may change, be added or be removed.
Because your data stays on your iPhone, the app keeps working offline. The service catalogue ships inside the app: it starts and runs with no network at all.
The catalogue lists services, their logos, and for France public prices recorded on a stated date. Those prices are indicative and may have changed: the amount that counts is the one you actually pay.
8. Liability
You remain the only one deciding about your subscriptions. I cannot be held liable for a decision made on the strength of a figure on screen, for a typing mistake, for a catalogue price that has become out of date, for a payment misidentified when importing a statement, or for the consequences of a cancellation you decided on and sent.
Nothing in these terms sets aside the rights French law grants consumers, in particular the legal guarantee of conformity.
9. Intellectual property
The Noria name, its visual identity, its screens and its code belong to me. The trade marks and logos of the services listed in the catalogue belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
The data you enter remains yours: I claim no rights over it and use it for nothing else.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Noria whenever you like, by deleting the app. Remember to cancel a Premium subscription from your Apple account settings: uninstalling the app does not stop it.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The update date at the top of this page prevails, and any significant change will be announced in the app.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first: write to [email protected].
Failing agreement, any consumer may use a consumer mediator free of charge, or the European online dispute resolution platform. The French courts have jurisdiction.
